Bank Therapeutic Child Carers - The Oaks & Golfa Hall

Bank Workers provide essential and flexible support to our full time teams and operate on the same job description.  We are always interested to hear from interested applicants for either of our sites.

Bank workers do not have guaranteed or set hours - instead, workers tell us their preferences and availability and we match this to support needed in the homes. This offers good flexibility and allows staff to supplement other work or undertake part time hours to fit with their home situations.

Bank workers have access to training and support the same as full time, permanent staff and it is common for Bank worlers to use the experience to test out their interest in the work and to have an experieice of working with us before applying for permanent roles when they arise.

Why work for Amberleigh Care?

Amberleigh Care operates two residential therapeutic communities (TCs) for young males 11-18. We were established in 2005 and continue to be an independent specialist service focussing on relationship based work.

Each site has its own separately registered school and our service is supported by an over-arching in house, multi-disciplinary clinical team lead by a forensic psychologist. As a specialist service, we work with a deliberately selected group of young people - we are very different to the majority of residential care providers. We deliver a theoretically informed practice model with careful admission and placement planning and we make use of external quality assurance. We have a small and visible senior management team who work across both our sites so we know all the staff and boys personally. We also hold the Investors in People Award.

Amberleigh Care is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced disclosure from the DBS.
